Gazania Indo-Arab Restaurant, often fondly called the “Old Al Baik,” has been delighting Kozhikode’s food lovers since the early 2000s. Born from the legacy of the pioneering Al Bake brand – established around 2001 – Gazania has carried forward a rich culinary tradition, introducing beloved dishes like mandi, broasted chicken, and alfaham to Kerala. Nestled near Baby Memorial Hospital, its warm atmosphere, consistent quality, and nostalgic flavors have made it a ritual stop for locals and visitors alike: “Whenever I visit Kozhikode, it’s a ritual to get shawarma and broast chicken.” With every visit stirring fond memories, Gazania remains both a heritage icon and a culinary heartthrob.
